assemblage art piece take on a favorite poem/life philosophy of mine

a few weeks ago i met up with friend
at her studio...
really a nest in the trees with a gorgeous view of the hills
and lots of little songbirdies
singing on the porch.

she collects "things"
mostly old odds and ends
the most worn, the rustier,
the better.

then she makes
her own words
her own worlds
out of other's cast offs and forgottens.

i have long admired assemblage art
and to actually meet
and get to "play"
in this medium with
someone who inspires me
...

really super cool!

this is my "fledgling"
piece that she and i
created from pieces of "junk"
that i picked -
she finished it
& delivered it yesterday.

the words attributed to Blessed Mother Teresa,
...do it "anyway," inspire me...

whatever it is...however difficult or seemingly impossible...

thank you M.E R!!!
will cherish this! ;0)

xo.
