GTTG week 7

here are my favorite shots from Getting Through the Grey this week.

i have been distracted a lot lately, again! from living wholly,

from my love of photography

and from this class.

life does have a lot of distractions in general, yes,

yet my magnificent brain with all it's holes makes it

10x harder for me to focus on even the littlest things!

the smallest flirt from another thought becomes the BIGGEST distraction

and the BIG THINGS in life that require my attention first and foremost

either demand all my energy or

get lost in the

airyness upstairs in the skull.

maybe my word for 2012 ought to have been

focus.

hmm.

anyway...

this week i was able to recapture my photojuju and was able to"focus"

on a distraction!

(was pruning roses until i saw the light hitting the flower stalk -upper right corner)

and magic happened. 

i really LOVE this series -

there are more but these are from the group i posted them in.

they feel very natural, not just in their subjects but because i was outside,

in nature, shooting in my favorite light

in my favorite mode (macro)

and smelling the roses.
